I am helping my neice and can't get the set up right for the equation from the word problem below:
Susan and Claire worked a total of 20 hours. Susan earned $8.00 per hour and Claire earned $7.00 per hour. Together they earned $148.00 over the weekend. How many hours did Claire work? What problem solving strategy did you use?
